Open Division Format
  1. Mission: MCUDL Open Division exists to provide any team an opportunity to play Ultimate on a regular basis.
  2. The MCUDL Open Division is a division of the Mercer County Ultimate Disc League (the League) and will observe its policies, registration procedures, age requirements, etc.
  3. Open Division games will be played on the same night of the week throughout the season. The League will attempt to give scheduling preference to Open Division to allow the maximum number of Open Division games to be played on the same night of the week. This includes providing at least one field for Open on the regularly scheduled night. The preferred night is Friday night.
  4. The Open Division will be organized and run by the Open Division Coordinator. The Open Division Coordinator will be selected during the first meeting of each season, based on a majority vote of the current MCUDL officers (President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer). In the case of a tie, the President decides. His / her term will be one year in duration.
  5. The Open Division will consist of teams playing in the Open Division. Any group of individuals may join together to form an Open Division team. There are no limits on team size or ability. Each team will be represented by a captain. Every attempt will be made to place an individual on a team, but there is no guaranteed an individual "walking-on" will be on a team.

  8. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect for the opponent or the Spirit of the Game.
  9. The schedule and playoff format shall be determined prior to the start of the season.
